THRIFTY Car Rental at Brisbane Airport

Brisbane Airport has two car rental areas, one at the International Terminal on Level 2 and one at the Domestic Terminal, where customers with a reservation only need to follow signs from the Arrivals/Baggage Reclaim area to the Qantas and Virgin end of the building. At Downtown Brisbane there's another Thrifty office at 48 Barry Parade, Fortitude Valley, QLD 4006. This office is within a short walk of bus stops that are located along Ann Street and Queen Street. Downtown Brisbane Thrifty can be contacted on +61 7 3006 3255. The office is open from Mondays to Fridays from 7.30 am to 5.15 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 7.30 am to 3.45 pm.

The Brisbane Airport fleet from Thrifty offers customers choices that suit both leisure and business travel. For example, there are vehicles like the Toyota Yaris and Toyota Corolla (Economy and Compact classes respectively) or the Kia Cerato from the Intermediate class or the Mitsubishi ASZ, a Compact SUV that suits both leisure and business travelers.

Thrifty accepts payments made by credit cards, as long as they are issued by companies that also use the Visa or Mastercard logo. Credit card transactions are subject to fees though, for example 1.1% for Visa and Mastercard credit card transactions, 3.29% for Diner's Club, 3.75% for American Express and JCB credit cards.

Deposits range from AU$200.00 to AU$1,100.00, depending on the type of vehicle chosen. Renters must be at least 21 years old. A young driver's fee applies to renters aged 21 to 24, which is added daily to the overall rental.

Pets are not permitted, but service animals can travel on Thrifty rentals. Extras customers can select include GPS navigation systems, baby and child seats (max. 3 seats per rental).
